Someone asked me how I felt that Donald Trump might be
re-elected. Wether now or if he, or someone just like him won in 2024. I
could not even answer the question fast enough. Too many thoughts were running
through my head. I thought about how the country I was born into, a country I
was taught was benign, how I thought that we stood for what was right, and
freedom and democracy for all, and all that; had really let me down, and how it
really hurt to know I was lied to all my life.
I thought about the racist white supremacists who have never been put in their
place, who continue not caring about issues like Mass Incarceration, or Family
Detention Centers, since it does not really affect them. I thought about, how
good it would be if one day karma put them in their place. I thought about how
the U.S. election, has two main parties, but they both seem to be Pro-Business
parties, that really do not represent the little people of the United States.
We do not have a party that truly represents the average worker. The Red
Scares, Palmer Raids, Union Busting, massacres, e.g. The Ludlow Massacre, The
Everett Massacre, Lattimore Massacre, Republic Steel Massacre, made sure of
that.
I thought about how all the racists around the world have been emboldened, by
Donald Trump, I thought about the growing number of swastikas, and hate speech
graffiti, I seem to see nowadays. I thought about racism in general, and
how having suffered from it my whole life, I am so tired of it. I thought about
the vulgarities that come out of this man's mouth, I thought about the
disrespectful things he says about women and minorities in the U.S., and People
of Color worldwide. I thought about his racist Immigration policies, where
border guards throw tear gas at women with their babies. I thought about how
disrespectfully he speaks About congress women Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna
Pressley, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and how he tells them to go back to their
countries.
I am so disappointed in anyone who would vote for him, knowing full well that
his rhetoric and actions are making life hard for people of color, his rhetoric
and actions are also hurting Muslims worldwide. He is responsible for children
dying in Immigration Detention Centers. He is responsible for forever
traumatizing kids separated from their families. He is the kind of a person who
would choose to give his 1st State of Union Address, on the date Hitler came to
power (30th of January).
So to answer the question, I dread that Trump could be re-elected. The
good people of the United States deserve so much better, and all humanity in
general deserve so much better, and need a leader with compassionate ideas, a
leader who wants to make things better for all the people of the world, a
leader who realizes these are seriously crucial times we are living in, and
someone who cares for the environment, and Mother Earth, a leader who aspires
to attain a better future for the children and future generations, and not
someone only looking out for the interests of big business, Special Interest
Groups, and their own.
This racist does not seem to think about how people
that are seeking a better life, will do anything for their children, they will
do anything for their babies. If you study the history of many countries in
what they call the Anglosphere, you will read about how their people went to
other countries and displaced the original inhabitants, kidnapped children and
put them in residential schools, tried to forcibly assimilate them into a
foreign system, while the children suffered from countless abuses.
You can study how the original people of places like Canada, the U.S.,
Australia and New Zealand still live today. You can study the history of
poverty, and other social ills plaguing these areas. You can study the missing
girls, who have been disappeared from reservations.
Watching the news, or reading the paper today, one can
see how the peoples of different countries that have been destroyed by the
foreign policies of countries like the U.S., England, Portugal, Spain, France,
Italy, Belgium, and others, now have to flee their countries searching for a
new life, and how now some citizens of these same former and current
imperialist countries and some of the descendants of Euro Settlers, now living
all over the world, applaud as peoples boats sink in the Mediterranean Sea.
They have the audacity to have Immigration Detention Centers, including some
that run for profit, were countless abuses are reported, and those are the ones
that we know of.
Do they not care about children dying in Immigration
Detention Centers? Do their hearts not break, reading stories of children
separated from their parents? Are they not alarmed about the conditions these
children are living in? Do they only see my people as illegal criminals, or sub
humans, because that is what their Racist in Chief (Trump), told them? Just
remember people that is the same racist who tells you stories of a Mythic Past,
a past, when the African American was three fifths of a man, and when the
Declaration of Independence called the indigenous people, “savages.”
How can they not care, when they see images like
of Oscar Alberto Martinez Ramirez an El Salvadoran father who was trying to get
to the U.S. by trying to cross the Rio Grande, and how his 23 month little girl
jumped in the river after her daddy and the rivers current was too strong and
swept them away. This hurts me deep inside. I feel so bad for this man, and for
their family. This story made me so angry and it really broke my heart. My
heart was also broken when I read about Marco Antonio Muñoz, the
honduran man who took his own life, after his 3 year old boy was taken away
from him, do to the racist Trump/Miller Child Seperation Policy. It breaks
my heart to read about the over 10,000 dead in the U.S.-Mexico Border. It broke
my heart to hear about the 9 year old girl that died in the Rio Grande
yesterday.
My heart keeps breaking over and over, watching the
country I used to think was a great country that stood for freedom and justice
for all, killing more children with Native Blood at their immigration detention
centers, on stolen Native land. It is also especially sad, if one thinks
about how the U.S. has destroyed Latino America via the I.M.F., The United
Fruit Company, The School of the America’s, military coups, embargoes,
proxy wars, etc. It hurts me to watch my country, and see that over five
hundred and fifty six thousand people have died do to this pandemic. It hurts
to see how police keep killing BIPOC in a country that sells itself as "A
Big Melting Pot." It hurts to see this country we all were told was a
champion of democracy, have people in "For Profit Immigration Detention
Centers" especially during a pandemic, meanwhile denying them asylum. It
also is painful to read reports about how these asylum seekers are being
exposed to dangerous chemicals, and I even read about women who were forcibly
sterilization at the Irwin County Detention Center in Georgia.
